Gum Disease Sacramento California

As it is rightly said that the first impression is the best impression in a person life, likewise a glittering smile will have a lasting impression in the minds of others. Not everybody is gifted with a true natural smile, but for those having must consider themselves truly lucky. But one need not get depressed or fret over the issue as they can enhance their smile back on their face by undergoing much latest dentistry methodology being practiced in recent times.

Reasons/ Causes for poor oral hygiene:

There are several reasons responsible for poor oral hygiene. Due to hectic work schedule and sedentary lifestyle, individuals tend to ignore the oral hygiene which turns from bad to worse in the matter of time which further becomes more complicated if not treated in the initial stage itself. As we all know that a human heart is linked with many organs of a body, similarly having a poor oral hygiene can have an overall effect on an individual's health. Excess use of tobacco related products, smoking causes permanent stains in the teeth which will further lead to dreaded diseases like cancer. Related evidence has shown that what is happening in your mouth has a direct impact on other parts of the body and vice versa.

“Mouth is the Gateway to your body”:

A recent study and research being conducted by the dentist have found out that there is some vital link between healthy teeth and a healthy heart. When the gums become inflamed, then this is the signs of beginning stages of gum disease which may further lead to gingivitis. This can result in putting extra pressure on the heart muscle which may cause strokes and heart attacks. A recent data conducted have shown that people with limited teeth and having more gum diseases have a higher chance of getting a stroke or an attack. Evidence have also shown that the people having a high rate of poor oral hygiene are more prone to diabetes which is often termed as “silent killer”. The person maintaining a poor oral hygiene is also at high risk of developing a high blood pressure as inflamed blood vessels restrict the flow of blood from the heart to other parts of the body including the mouth. Also, a recent study has found that a person having a poor oral hygiene is exposed to respiratory track infections like pneumonia and also have a chance of developing Dementia commonly known as Alzheimer’s disease. In females, poor oral hygiene can cause immune system disorder, weaker bones and low birth weight.

Maintain good oral hygiene habits:

The message is clear for those having a poor oral hygiene. By following a proper dental hygiene one can overcome this problem to a large extent. By practicing simple steps like brushing one's teeth twice a day with a fluoride, flossing and rinsing which helps to kill the bacteria and periodically visiting a dentist once in 6 months not only brings down the medical expenses but also at the same time it can save your life as well where in one can lead a healthy lifestyle and also at the same time have a lustrous sparkling smile in one's face.

Beautiful office, friendly staff, terrific dental care.

by Trevor Derrett

Had a great visit today and got to know the people that work there. They made me feel comfortable as the change of ownership is taking place.

I am so impressed with the entire experience. From the friendly reminders, to entering the office, and especially the dentist! My previous dentist Stephen C Ott, DDS, was incredible. I had the benefits of his gift since 1971. I was worried about finding a new dentist. However, I was blessed to have Dr. Ott recommend his dentist: Dr. Lillian Stojic. I recommend her to all!!!

Dr. Lilliana and her staff make getting teeth cleaned and a cavity filled as good an experience as possible. They get the job done with minimal pain and discomfort.

I just had a visit to Dr. Stojic's office. My ten year old daughter had an infected tooth that had to be extracted. She was so nervous and scared at the possibility of an extraction. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by her office manager and then by her equally kind assistant who brought us back to her room...

Dr. Lilliana and her staff are not only effective and efficient, but they also remove my anxiety. When I had to have a root canal, I was nervous about the pain. I was given the choice of Nitrous oxide gas and that calmed me.

Dr. Stojic saw two of my children. The youngest was so comforted by her easygoing and confident demeanor that he was the quietest and most still 4 year old I've seen in a dentist chair! Our older son was very afraid of the dentist and has been to a couple other dentists who were unable to treat him because of his scared behavior. Dr. Stojic was very patient and helped him understand what she was doing at every step, which calmed him down so she was able to fill his cavities and even extract a tooth. We were thoroughly impressed with Dr. Stojic and her office and staff.
